FIAP Biennial

This year, FIAP will hold a Colour Biennial. It is being held in Athens, Greece.
We asked you to submit images for consideration to be included in our panels and we received a great response. Many thanks to all who sent in images. We were able to submit two panels.

The first panel was a set of 10 Colour Prints on the theme of “By the Coast”. The second panel was a set of 20 Colour Digital Images on the theme of “Portrait of Woman”. The photographers representing Ireland are:

FIAP tell us that there is there are 2 steps to the judging of both panels:
  1. Each image is reviewed by the 3 judges and marked accordingly
  2. Each panel is then reviewed and marked for coherence
Any image which scores 8 or more marks will receive an “Acceptance” and can be used towards FIAP Distinctions.

The judging will be towards the middle of June and we do not expect to receive the results until early in July. Until then we cannot publish the actual titles or the images. So we ask all selected photographers to be mindful of this.

FIAP Distinctions

I have now sent all distinction applications to FIAP for processing and we wait to hear back from them. I would expect to hear from them sometime in May and will be in touch with all applicants as soon as I know the outcome.

FIAP Exhibition Centre

The Dublin Camera Club is very proud to present “Seen to be Heard” by Jennifer Willis EFIAP FIPF FRPS.
This is a powerful award-winning exhibition portraying stories of women living with secondary breast cancer.

Jennifer obtained both the FIPF and FRPS distinctions with this body of work.
The exhibition will open at 2pm on Saturday 6th July in the Eddie Chandler Gallery, a FIAP Exhibition Centre. It is at 10 Lower Camden Street.
It will be open each Saturday from 11am to 5pm until 10th June (except Saturday 27th May)

All are invited to the opening or to visit on one of the Saturdays.
