One of the most important services provided by the federation is the IPF Distinctions service.
Individual photographers present their work before the distinctions judges, who assess whether the applicant should be awarded the relevant distinction applied for.
There are three levels of Distinction; Licentiateship, Associateship, and Fellowship.
Distinctions sittings are held twice a year; in April and November.
In this section of the website you can find information on how to apply for Distinctions, Distinction application forms, Distinction protocol, and other useful information. A list of successful Distinction applicants for the past few years can also be downloaded.
For those unfortunate enough to lose either a distinction pin or certificate, Replacement pins and certificates can be ordered via this website – see the link on the left of this page.
