IPF Nature Group

The IPF Nature Group is a Special Interest Group (SIG) within the Irish Photographic Federation (IPF), dedicated to celebrating and promoting the art of Nature and Wildlife Photography.

Application for membership is open to all members of IPF-affiliated clubs who share a passion for capturing the natural world — from native and rare species to sweeping landscapes, and from intimate details of flora and fauna to the fascinating world of fungi.

Throughout the year, the Nature Group hosts a diverse programme of talks, workshops, field trips, and competitions, offering members opportunities to:

  • Learn from experienced nature and wildlife photographers

  • Share and showcase their work

  • Develop photographic skills and techniques

  • Deepen their understanding of wildlife, habitats, and conservation through photography

Members also have the opportunity to take part in organised photography trips, both within Ireland and abroad.

Whether you are an experienced nature photographer or just beginning your journey, the IPF Nature Group provides a welcoming and supportive community where you can grow creatively, find inspiration, and connect with others who share your enthusiasm for the beauty of nature.
