A Day in the Irish Landscape – Saturday 29 March 2014
A unique event with four of Ireland’s very best landscape experts will take place in the Dublin Camera Club on Saturday 29th March 2014.
The event will be a showcase of stunning images with expert hints, tips and discussion on locations, light and techniques from speakers with very impressive portfolios.
The cost of the event is just €30. Booking is via the club website www.dublincameraclub.ie by PayPal, or in person at the Dublin Camera Club on Tuesday evenings from 8.00pm to 10.00pm. Places are limited and early booking is strongly advised. Places are reserved only on receipt of payment. Doors will open at 9.30am with the event starting at 10.00am sharp. There will be a break for lunch and the event will conclude at 4.30pm
The four speakers will be:
Simon Stewart
Simon is the architect of MountainViews.ie – one of our best online landscape resources. He is a leading expert on Ireland’s mountain landscapes, how and when to access them, as well as being expert on GPS and modern mapping and ordnance survey aids for outdoor pursuits. Simon is a regular contributor to publications such as “The Irish Mountain Log” and is a very keen and experienced photographer with an extensive portfolio of landscape photographs from Ireland and beyond.
Carsten Krieger
Carsten is one of Ireland’s most renowned landscape photographers and has published many books showcasing the Irish landscape, including a definitive portfolio of Irish wildflowers in “The Wildflowers of Ireland”. He is based in West Clare and will be including details of a current photographic project with the Burren Geo Park.
Peter McCabe
Peter is a professional freelance photographer specialising in work featuring the Ireland’s light and landscape. Peter contributes to some of the worlds biggest stock libraries and also leads regular photography courses with participants from all over the world.
Norman McCloskey
Norman is a highly acclaimed landscape photographer based in Kenmare, Co Kerry. His recent book “Parklight” was published in 2013 and has received great reviews. Norman will talk about his year-long photographic exploration of the wild and remote beauty of Killarney National Park that features in the book.
