Celtic Challenge Results

The  2012 Celtic Challenge has taken place with the event being hosted by the Welsh Photographic Federation in Swansea. Representatives of seven photographic federations were present as English judge Barry Mead FRPS, EFIAP/g, MPAGB deliberated on the best work representing each organisation. The end result saw the Scotland pulling away for a convincing victory, coming second in monochrome to the IPF, but winning both the colour and projected image. The full results are listed below. While the IPF could only manage a second place in Colour print, our own Michael O’Sullivan FIPF, FRPS came away with the top colour print with his image “Fallen Angel”.
The event itself was wonderfully organised by our Welsh hosts who went out of their way to welcome visitors from far and wide, including a meet-and-greet evening, photographic outings to local attractions hosted by members of local clubs and a great awards dinner. This event has a fantastic atmosphere and with the IPF being host for the 2013 event our work will be cut out to meet the high standards set in Wales.
