Just in case you’ve missed previous announcements, this isn’t a new competition, we’ve just had a change of name this year! Previously known as the IPF Print & Projected Image Competition, we’re delighted to announce that the IPF Photographer of the Year 2015/2016 is once again sponsored by Canon Ireland and the regional qualifying rounds are getting underway.

To enter, you must be a member of an IPF affiliated club and you must enter via your regional qualifying round. See table below – once your regional qualifier is available, you will be able to access it via the links below. These rounds run from November until the end of January.
Please note this year:
- You must use the new colour coded labels on the back of your prints – please print them in colour and attach securely to the back of your prints
- You must upload a digital copy of all prints at time of entry
- Make sure you enter the correct level as defined in the rules

Dear Photographer,
We’re now progressing through November with alarming haste. The IPF National Shield 2015 has just been completed and a huge thanks to Joe Doyle and his colleagues in Malahide Camera Club for yet again staging such a successful event.
Just to put you all on notice, the Regional Rounds of the 2015/2016 Photographer of the Year Competition are just upon us. To kick off, the SACC regional round of this competition is being held at the Horse and Jockey Hotel, Co. Tipperary on Sunday 22nd November following by the DSLR round on Saturday November 28th at Palmerstown Community Centre in Dublin. Details for Mid West and North East regions will be published shortly. Thanks to everyone in the regions for their help so far – most appreciated.
