Malahide wins National Shield 2012

November 11, 2012 by Darragh Sherwin Leave a Comment

The National Shield 2012 was held in Ballyfermot Civic Centre on Sunday, the 11th of November hosted by Satsun Photographic Club.
The prestigious National Shield trophy for non-advanced workers was carried off by Malahide Camera Club, last year’s 2nd place club.
This year the SACC was well represented with Cork Camera Group in 2nd place and Fermoy Camera Club in 3rd.
The most improved club, a new award was taken for the first time by An Oige Photographic Group, who managed a sterling 5 place improvement over last year.
Congratulations to all clubs that enter this years competition and particularly to the individual participants.
A big thank you to our judges for this competition, Kevin and Margery Maskell, who travelled from the UK to support the event.
