We are honoured by the Royal Photographic Society with the awarding of the Pollock Medal for the fourth time in succession for the Best First Time Entrant in the IPF National Audio Visual Campionships.
The Championships will take place on the weekend of the 20th & 21st October, in Āras Chrónáin Ionad Cultúrtha, Clondalkin, Dublin 22.
We are delighted to have two very distinguished judges for this event. Marion Waine, ARPS, DPAGB, AV-AFIAP and John Rowell, ARPS, DPAGB, AV-AFIAP.,are longtime members of the Wilmslow Guild Audio Visual Group in North Wales and they are well known through out the English and Welsh AV community. They have been involved in photography from an early age and are passionate landscape photographers. Their work can be viewed on the website http://www.chasingthelight.co.uk/
The doors will open at 10.00 am on Saturday. Thirty seven sequences have been entered between the IPF National and the All Ireland competitions and each will be assessed and commented upon by the judges – a great learning experience – for authors and spectators alike.
On the Sunday morning, there is an opportunity to learn a lot more about the medium of Photography and AV from our two judges who will present a selection of their sequences and explain how they produce them.
