Kieran O’Loughlin, who sadly passed away on May 6th, was a committed member of Shannon Camera club for about thirty years and was a very accomplished photographer who gave of his time in the club helping and mentoring members of all grades.
He achieved his LIPF with a monochrome panel and was a master of B & W photography in the wet darkroom days. However Kieran’s greatest interest was in the field of Audio Visuals at which he excelled. He won the National AV Championships on six occasions, and in the annual head to head between the IPF and NIPA champion he always came out on top. With that kind of record it is no surprise that he gained both his AIPF and FIPF for AV work.
He had also competed successfully in England and had been awarded with the LRPS and then the ARPS there.
In the last couple of years he had been involved in the assessment of general distinctions as well as well as those for AVs.
