A very big thank you to all the Clubs and Society’s that took part this year in the National Shield in Kilkenny, what a day!
I was delighted with the number of entrants and the amount of people that attended the event it was great to see such an interest in the competition.
I thank Sheldon from Fine Art Papers who has supported the National Shield over the last number of years.
I would like to thank the judges Ann Cassidy, Judy Boyle and Bob Given for the work and feedback they gave on the day. As it was a very tightly fought competition, the judges had a big task in selecting the winners.
I would also like to thank Bernard Geraghty and Ian Carruthers for the fantastic presentations that they gave.
As Coordinator I thank the members of my club, Kilkenny Photographic Society, who played a big part in the smooth running of the event. I would also like to include a thanks to some members of the IPF council who assisted on the day.
