Dear Club Member,
Once again we turn the page of time and enter a new year. Much has happened in 2013 within the IPF. Of particular interest is the development of a new North West region presently in process. A special welcome to the new clubs from this region, whom I am certain will raise the national standard of photography further in the coming years. The federation cannot flourish without input from council, through the regions, and right down to the club member who puts on the kettle or gathers up prints for competitions. Everyone is actively needed to make the IPF community function effectively. Mutual goodwill and respect, a common purpose and groundswell of volunteerism are the essential ingredients to our future success. Without these, the greatest photography from our club members will go nowhere.
Busy times are coming up with the completion of various regional rounds culminating in the National Nature and Print/Projected Finals in late February. Anyone attending these finals over the years must be impressed by the quality of images on show, so Kilkenny on the last week end of February is not to be missed.
Wishing you all a very happy New Year!
