AV Championship and distinctions

July 10, 2022 by Gerry Leave a Comment

The IPF AV Group Committee are happy to announce the
Irish Photographic Federation’s 39th National Audio-Visual Championships & 8th International Audio-Visual Competition.

The Committee met on 4th March, 2022 via Zoom and it was agreed to hold the event again via Zoom. The IPF National Audio-Visual Championships are traditionally held on the 3rd weekend in October – 15th & 16th.   When the entries are received, the committee will decide if it will be a 1 or 2 day event.  We are honoured to have as our judges – both are international winners and lecturers in the medium – Ian Bateman, FRPS, MPAGB, AV-AFIAP, APAGB who has judged previously and it will be the first time for Sheila Haycox, ARPS, MPAGB/AV, EFIAP.  The sequences will be forwarded to them in advance and as usual the national entries will be commented on.  Put the dates in your diary NOW .. and we look forward to seeing your entries.

Distinctions:  The committee would like to know by 31st August, 2022, (to ipfavgroup@gmail.com) if anyone is thinking of going for their distinctions in Audio Visual with the IPF, so that the committee can proceed with getting judges and organising on Zoom.  Attached are the guidelines for “L“, “A“ & “F“.  Under Distinctions – Audio Visual on www.irishphoto.ie are the application details.

Membership:  I would like to thank those who have paid their membership fees, which were due on 1st January, 2022.  If you haven’t – payment of €20.00 can be made through PayPal to ipfavgroup@gmail.com or the IPF AV Group account – IE04 AIBK 9311 3640 0620 70 (BIC: AIBKIE2D – if paying this way, please email me a copy of the transaction, so I know whom to send the membership card to.  Please note that if you are entering any competition, that the onus is on YOU to have your licence up to date.

Again, we look forward to receiving your entries…and the best of luck!

Lilian Webb,
IPF National AV Co-Ordinator.
