DSLR Print & Projected Image Qualifier Results

November 19, 2013 by Niamh Whitty Leave a Comment

Canon_WEB_logoThe DSLR qualifying round of the IPF National Print & Projected Image Competition in association with Canon took place on Saturday November 16th 2013 at Palmerstown Parish Centre.
This was the biggest entry in the DSLR PPI Competition to date and we hope the growth will continue next year!
Congratulations to Michelle La Grue from Malahide Camera Club who won the DSLR regional round with ‘Can You See Me?’.  You can view a list of the other placed images in each section here.

The cut off scores for each section are as below (images were scored out of 27). Images with these scores or higher will be forwarded to National Finals. A list of all accepted images is available to view here.
Projected Open & Monochrome Print Themed: 21 and above
All other sections:  20 and above
Please note: As the competition is ongoing, we are not in a position to show winning images as it wouldn’t be appropriate to identify images and photographers until judging of finals is complete.
Martin Devlin, chair of DSLR region and event organiser would like to thank the following for their involvement in making this competition such a success:
“A very big thank you to all the competitors who entered, for without your participation there would be no competition.
I would also like to express my thanks to Palmerstown Camera Club and it’s members who generously gave of their time on the day and provided tea and coffee throughout the day, also to The Palmerstown House (Pub) for making their car park facilities available for both competitors and visitors alike on the day. Thanks also to the judges, Ciara Drennan, AIPF, Portlaoise CC, Seamus Costelloe, FIPF, ASIFG, Kilkenny PS, Bill Power, AIPF, Mallow CC.
A modern day competition like this requires teamwork to run, accordingly I would like to single out the following people for special mention, Pat Killilea & Malcolm McCamley, DSLR Treas., & Sec., Bray CC, Elaine & Nina Butler PCC (for scoring duties) Pat Kavanagh PCC (print handling) , Paul Geraghty, Picturk, Michael O’Sullivan IPF Competitions Officer and Niamh Whitty IPF Webmaster.
Credits would not be complete without mention of our sponsor Canon” – Martin Devlin
