July 23, 2017 by Niamh Whitty Leave a Comment

MS LogoWe are pleased to announce that for the fourth year in a row, Multiple Sclerosis Ireland, in association with the Irish Photographic Federation, are running a competition seeking images for their new Calendar which will be sold to raise much-needed funded for its services.

The theme of the 2018 calendar is Reflections.

Photographs must have a reflection as part or all of the subject. Reflections can be of anything and on any reflecting surface for example water, glass, metal etc.  Images must be in landscape orientation.

Submission should be received before 5pm on Friday 12th August 2017. Submissions after this date will not be considered.

Go on, get creative!!

Further details are available on Multiple Sclerosis Ireland website and also their terms and conditions. As with all competitions, please read and understand the terms and conditions before you enter.

To enter, email your image to calendars@ms-society.ie and be aware of the following:

  • The orientation of the calendar images should be landscape
  • Images should be submitted as high quality jpgs, 2400 pixels on longest side
  • Include your name, address, contact number & email with your entry
  • Include you camera club and a short caption for the image with your entry

The Irish Photographic Federation are very proud to be involved in this project once again this year and look forward to seeing another beautiful calendar being produced with your support.  Thank you to all who entered last year.

From MS Ireland:

“The money raised would be used to fund local services like individual and family support; exercise and physiotherapy programme; and information and support events. MS is a progressive, neurological condition which affects 8,000 families in Ireland. There is no cure for MS and as treatments are limited appropriate and timely support offered by MS Ireland is vital.”
