IPF Nature Finals 2013 Winners
Congratulations to Michael Murphy from Cork Camera Group, who was declared the overall winner with his image ‘Irish Hare and Morning Dew’
Congratulations to all of the winners of this year’s Nature Competition. As can be seen below, the standard of work was exceptional and the volume of entries was significantly increased on previous years.
A huge thank you to Hotel Kilkenny who provided the excellent venue and facilities for the Nature Finals.
Many thanks to Bermingham Cameras for their very generous sponsorship of a number of gift vouchers for winners of each section.
Much thanks also to Picturk – who powered the online entry system for this competition and provided countless hours of work both at national and regional levels to ensure things ran smoothly at the finals.
A big thank you to Kilkenny Photo Society for hosting the finals, especially Dave Barrie who organised the national finals and has put in a considerable effort ensuring the competition was run smoothly.
A special thanks to Niamh Whitty for keeping a critical eye on the score keeping and awards.
To Des Clinton, thank you for stepping in to judge at the last moment and providing invaluable and useful advice.
Prints have been returned via your region, with top scoring images retained temporarily by IPF for potential use to represent Ireland at international competitions. A list of retained images will be available soon.
For those award winners who weren’t present at the weekend, a representative of your club has your award if a representative was present, if not, we’ll be in contact shortly to arrange to get it to you.

The winning photos are just brilliant but as I have asked over the last few years…where can all the scores from the day be seen…not just the winners…we all like to see how we did.
Totally agree with Noel, some of us could not make it on the day and it would be a great benefit to see how people got on. If they cannot be posted, then the results should be forwarded to all clubs. As always from the winning images the standard was very high, well done to all.
We are working with Picturk to issue report cards in the next few days
Regards
Darragh
The organisers of the nature final should consider having an intermediate section in the final competition. The absence of that section excludes a large number of entries and may explain the small numbers attending.
Any feedback from Picturk on issuing report cards.
Thanks
