POTY & NPOTY Finales Approaching!

After a very busy few months in the regions with regional rounds of the Nature Photographer of the Year and Photographer of the Year, it is now the moment of truth, who will be crowned Nature Photographer of the Year 2018 and Photographer of the Year 2018?  To find out you will have to come to Carlow, where all will be revealed!

The finals will be held on 17th and 18th of February in the Talbot Hotel Carlow. 

The Nature Photographer of the Year will be held on Saturday and the Photographer of the Year will be held on Sunday.

Nature Photographer of the Year:

Photographer of the Year:

We’re looking forward to seeing all our photographic friends on the 17th and 18th of February.

All times are approximate and may change due to the nature of the competition, we will endeavor to keep you updated via social media.

Saturday 17th of February – Nature Photographer of the Year Finals

10:00am: Introduction of judges 

10:15am – 11:00am: Judging of Projected Open 

11:30am – 12:15pm : Judging of Projected Theme – Irish Wildbirds & Wildlife

12:30pm – 1:30pm Lunch

1:30pm – 2:15pm Judging of Projected Theme – The Natural World

2:30pm – 3:15pm Judging of Print Open

3:45pm – 4:30pm Judging of Print Theme – Flora & Fungi

5:00pm – 5:30pm Nature Photographer of the Year Awards

8:00pm until Late – Join us for a celebration dinner in the Liberty Restaurant (Talbot Hotel) and enjoy an evening of socialising with photographers from around the country!

Dinner is only 30 euros can be booked via the website (PayPal), there will be only a limited number of spaces available, so book early!  Booking form at the bottom of this page.

 

Sunday 18th of February – Photographer of the Year Finals

10:00am – 10:45am: Judging of Projected Open

11:00am – 11:45am: Judging of Project Theme – The Human Face and Body

12:00pm – 1pm: Lunch

1:00pm – 1.45pm : Judging of Colour Print Open

2:00pm – 2:45pm: Judging of Colour Print Theme – Creative/Experimental

3:15pm – 4:00pm: Judging of Mono Print Open

4:15pm – 5:00pm Judging of Mono Print Theme – Environmental Portraiture

5:30pm – 6:00pm Photographer of the Year Awards

 

We have a handful of rooms reserved with the hotel, the cost is 

Friday night  – Single Room –  €110 

Saturday night  – Single Room –  €130
